Meet Sabrina Rudin: A Book Talk and Signing

Bird's Bookstore is thrilled to host Sabrina Rudin, in conversation with Caitlin Clark, to celebrate Rudin's debut cookbook, Healthy with a Side of Happy: 100 Plant-Based Recipes to Feed Your Family.

Following the seated conversation, Rudin will be signing books. Your ticket includes one signed copy of Healthy with a Side of Happy and a spot in the signing line.

About the Book

Equal parts clean living guide and recipe collection, the book spans everything from the juices and smoothies that Spring Cafe is beloved for, to hearty soups, plant-based pastas, and satisfying sweets. Alongside the recipes, Sabrina shares pantry guides, meal-prep strategies, and tips for creating a non-toxic kitchen—helping home cooks embrace wholesome eating with ease. Healthy with a Side of Happy is more than a cookbook; it's a roadmap to living with balance and intention, bringing nourishment and happiness into the home, and togetherness to everyday meals.

Healthy with a Side of Happy draws on Sabrina's experience within the food and wellness space and as a mother of three to share more than 100 plant-based recipes that are both delicious and approachable. Designed to satisfy all ages and appetites, her cookbook offers nourishing, joyful meals for everyone from toddlers discovering new flavors to teens with big appetites and busy adults seeking balance.

About the Author

Sabrina is a creator and entrepreneur in the food and wellness space, and the founder and owner of Spring Café Aspen, an organic, vegetarian restaurant with locations in Aspen and New York City. While living in Aspen as a snowboard instructor, she realized the town lacked a healthy café with organic, nourishing, and vegetarian options and set out to solve the problem herself. The menu was inspired by the vegetarian restaurants of her childhood, and by her mother, who was a pioneer in the natural foods and juicing movement, having studied under Anne Wigmor and at the Kushi Institute.
