About this Event
Sabrina Alves Pereira Silva is a teacher, dancer, and artistic director with over 11 years of experience in dance. Her journey began at the Shirlei Lima School, where she was first introduced to forró. What started as curiosity quickly became a passion, leading her to explore other ballroom dance styles such as zouk, samba, and bolero — expanding both her technical repertoire and bodily awareness.
In 2016, she joined the renowned Pé Descalço Dance School, where she found space for deep artistic development and identity building. It was there that she specialized in forró, which became her main language. Over the years, she established herself as a reference within the school, earning the red belt and taking on roles as an examiner and the artistic director of the Eldorado unit.
Her background also includes experiences in other movement languages such as jazz funk and hip hop, which enriched her teaching methodology with expressiveness, musicality, and freedom of movement.
Sabrina moves naturally between both roles in partner dancing — as a follower and as a leader — embracing role-switching and body listening as essential tools for a more authentic and connected dance. This versatility is reflected in her unique teaching style, which blends technique, joy, autonomy, and presence.
Throughout her career, she has taught workshops in several Brazilian states, including São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Santa Catarina, Pernambuco, and many cities in Minas Gerais, always sharing her research with sensitivity, depth, and a deep love for the art of partner dancing.
In 2025, she won 1st place at the Torneio Forró Dança (TFD) in Itaúnas, captivating everyone who witnessed her performance.
