RVA Tropical & Exotic Plants: May Plant Swap & Shop

Join Richmond’s premier plant community for an afternoon of rare plants, handcrafted goods, and community connection at Triple Crossing Beer Fulton.

RVA Tropical & Exotic Plants is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to making plant ownership and education accessible to everyone. Our May Swap & Shop is a community focused event designed for everyone from the expert Hoya collector to the first time plant parent.

What to Expect:

The Market: Shop a curated selection of local vendors offering specimen grade tropicals and exotics. You will also find our featured makers section with botanical resin art, 3D printed garden tech, and handcrafted body products.

The Provenance Challenge: Get the "why" behind the craft. Every vendor and maker will display a Provenance Card detailing the science and history of their items. You get to be the judge! Use your entry ticket to vote for the person who taught you the most about their process.

The Free Table: Our signature community exchange. Bring a plant, cutting, or extra supplies to leave, and take something new home for free. No contribution is required to participate.

Door Prizes: We are giving away plants and artisan made goods throughout the afternoon. Check in at the welcome table to enter.

Community Connection: Meet the leadership team and fellow group members in a relaxed, low pressure environment.

Cost: This event is FREE and open to the public. Registering for a ticket on Eventbrite helps us manage capacity.
