Running Workshop – Strength, Mobility & Injury Prevention (Exeter)Physiotherapist-Led Running Workshop at Boulder Exe
📅 Wednesday 21st January
⏰ 6:00–7:30pm
📍 Boulder Exe, Exeter (Pilates / Yoga Studio)
💷 £20
👥 Limited to 8 participants
This physio-led running workshop in Exeter is designed for runners who are building mileage for spring events such as half marathons and marathons and want to support their training properly from the start.
January is when most runners begin structured training, increase weekly mileage, and prepare for events like the London Marathon. This is also when many running-related injuries begin to develop — often quietly and gradually.
This workshop focuses on strength, mobility and injury prevention for runners, helping you make informed decisions early in your training cycle.
Physiotherapist Laura Rutterford will cover in the workshop;
• Key strength areas for runners
• Mobility for running — what’s helpful and what’s often unnecessary
• Common running injury patterns seen during mileage build-up
• Practical exercises you can take away and use in your own training
• Guidance around load management, recovery and progression
This is a practical, interactive session — not a fitness class and not a lecture.
Who this workshop is for
• Recreational runners
• Anyone training for a half marathon or marathon
• Runners returning to training after injury
• Those wanting expert running physiotherapy guidance in a small group setting
No previous Pilates or gym experience is required.
Why attend a physio-led running workshop?
Working with a Chartered Physiotherapist means:
• Exercises are chosen to support running biomechanics
• Injury prevention advice is evidence-based and practical
• You leave with confidence in how to support your training
