Every Other Thursday Starting 22 Jan
New Year, new season of free, informal writing workshops at Exeter Library! These sessions welcome writers of all levels and genres, providing a nurturing space to explore new ideas, build your skills, and share your work in a supportive group. Each session brings a unique theme, encouraging you to experiment with different forms and topics. Whether you're new to writing or a seasoned wordsmith, there's something here for everyone! Led by Library staff members Nat & Chris, with occasional guest facilitators

22 JAN - Where to Begin?
A look at new beginings. How to put pen to paper, where to get inspiration and how to start a story. Plus a gentle introduction to the Hub and to each other with some ice breakers & fun exercises. Led by Chris & Nat.
05 FEB - More Poetry, Please
You're a poet even if you didn't know it. Chris leads another poetry session, with silly warm ups, serious writing and some superb examples from contemporary poets
19 FEB - Remember, re-memoir
A deep dive into the world of memoir writing, and writing about the self. Led by Nat

19 MARCH - Nature Writing
Nat leads another workshop exploring senses and the natural world, with a quick trip into Rougemont Gardens for some crisp, Springtime inspiration
02 APRIL - April Fools & Writing Tools
A whole session about loosening up and bringing a sense of play into our work, with some silly and surreal exercises, and plenty of opportunity to share. Led by Chris & Nat.
