Strength training should be an important part of any runner's workout routine, yet runners often skip the weights. Why is it so important? Strengthening our bodies is the number one aide in preventing injury. Running form is greatly improved with a stronger core, and of course, adding bodyweight exercises is very helpful in weight management. This interval style workout is great for runners and non-runners, integrating cardio, strength, and core with some great music! Please bring a yoga or exercise mat, small hand weights (2-10lbs), & a bottle of water.These classes will be held for 5 Sunday Mornings: January 11, 18, 25th and February 1 and 8th.
FEE: Donation of $10 per class. ALL proceeds go to the Uplift initiative at Covenant United Methodist Church, making the building accessible to all people.
