Why We Run – The Mission Behind the Miles
Join us for a powerful morning of purpose and patriotism as we lace up in honor of the 250th Anniversary of the United States Navy and in support of those who’ve served us all. This 5K event is more than just a run. It’s a step forward for our heroes.
Hosted by Helping Hands for Heroes (HHH), a Florida-based nonprofit dedicated to ending veteran homelessness, this event fuels our efforts to build transitional housing and provide wrap-around services for at-risk and homeless U.S. Veterans.
Our Mission
We believe no Veteran should be left behind. HHH provides:
Transitional housing
Mental health services
Workforce training
Reintegration support
Through dignity-driven care, we restore purpose and create a path to stability and independence for our nation’s heroes.
What is ‘Countdown to 82’?
It’s our flagship initiative to construct 82 fully supported transitional housing units in Northeast Florida. Every step you take brings us closer to that goal.
