Our Rose Hill Rambles used to only occur twice a year, but thanks to our friends at Raising the Dead Georgia, we've more than tripled the number of Rose Hill tours we give in a year. And we're just getting started! Join Historic Macon for a guided walking tour of Rose Hill Cemetery led by resident tour guides and historians Kathleen O'Neal and Liz Riley. Please note that pre-registration is recommended for this event. To improve the experiences of our guests, this tour has been capped at 30 participants. A limited number of tickets will be available for purchase at the gate.
Please be sure to wear comfortable shoes, sun protection, and bring a bottle of water with you for this 1.5 hour walking tour. We will be walking along a paved route, but may occasionally take detours onto unpaved parts of the cemetery. Please be mindful that Rose Hill has big elevation changes and the paths are not always perfectly smooth or flat.
Plan to arrive 15-30 minutes before the tour begins to check in with our staff person at the main gate. Looking forward to seeing you there!
