About this Event
ROOTS: Relationships, Observation, Outcomes, Trust & Support
ROOTS is a relational, psychologically informed programme designed to support educators working with our youngest children (ages 2–5). It brings together Emotion Coaching and MeLSSA (Mediating Learning Support Approach) to explore how everyday adult–child interactions shape learning, emotional development and wellbeing.
Through reflective discussion and practical examples, ROOTS supports adults to deepen their understanding of children’s emotional worlds and to use attuned, responsive interactions to strengthen learning and relationships.
The training is delivered over 4 full days, and participants are expected to attend all sessions.
Training dates:
• 3rd June
• 16th June
• 29th June
• 8th July
Time: 9.30am–3.30pm
Location: Innovation Centre, Europarc
Cost: £25.00 (payable directly to NELC)
Next steps
To help you make the most of the learning and have the greatest impact on outcomes for your children, two follow‑up reflection sessions will be offered after the training, providing space for shared learning, discussion, and further embedding the ROOTS approach in practice.
