ROOTS launched publically online in February 2026, it was terrifing and nothing like expected, but we made it over the mound of fear and the unknown, we're now ready to spread our wings even further, and how better than a big, beautiful party with our people and our supporters!!! 🥳🎈🎉
Finally get to interact, in person, with our amazing curated range of BIPOC-owned and ethical selfcare products and brands, including 3 NEW unreleased brands( = 18+ NEW products!) 😍
🗣️ PANEL - We'll be joined by two guest speakers; Ella Rowe of Elvies Studios (@elvies_studios_); the place to go for all afro/curly's, and Chadley Camp of Little Homey Cafe (@littlehomey.cafe); the cutest community and BIPOC focued cafe in Naarm, alongside your event host and founder of ROOTS Culture Collective; Lakeri Teziggwa.
🎶👯♀️ MUSIC - Vibe out to tunes by DJ Outsider (@theeoutsiderrrr), and Maphia (@wearemaphia) from the Kontrol Panel (@kontrol.panel).
Then, mellow down to the soulful sound of Adrian Eagle (@a.eagle). 🦅🥺
🖼️ LIVE ART - Observe in awe the artwork of Tino (@Tino_nashe), and Zali (@Styledbyzali) as they design unique braided hair art, as part of an art insitillation.
🎤💃🏿 PERFORMANCE - Mellow down to the soulful sound of Adrian Eagle (@a.eagle). 🦅🥺
And enjoy a contempory dance performace by breathtaking Movement Artist, Joan (@jk0anoan)
🍽️🇨🇲 FOOD - fill yourself with a taste of Cameroon from Vola Foods (@volafoods), by Ashley Vola.
♿️ ACCESSIBILITY - Ramps will be placed at entryways, and (TBC) an accessible portaloo will be rented, I will keep this page updated!
We're here to celebrate the start of everything, connect with our community, vibe out, socialise, and maybe shake a little ass, all while platforming other BIPOC creatives & entreprenues while were at it!
