About this Event
On Friday, November 14th at 6:00 PM, join us at The Slate Room (1959 Piedmont Rd NE, Suite B, Atlanta, GA 30324) for an evening where culture, community, and celebration come alive. This year’s theme, Roots & Rhythm, invites you to honor your heritage—or any culture you’d like to celebrate—by wearing attire that showcases the beauty of global traditions.
Together, we will move in rhythm and root ourselves in purpose as we celebrate the legacy of ECO-Action and honor our founder, Carol Williams, a visionary leader in environmental justice.
Honoring Carol Williams
Carol Williams, the founder of Environmental Community Action (ECO-Action), served as Executive Director from 1989 to 2005. Through her leadership, ECO-Action grew into a powerful advocate for environmental justice, ensuring marginalized communities had access to clean air, water, and land. She devoted her career to empowering vulnerable populations, cultivating resilience, and amplifying women’s leadership in the fight for justice. Her legacy continues to inspire our mission today.
