Join Rachel Brock, ACSM-CPT, CPPT, PN1, CF-L1, owner of Build Power Grind, as she talks about the importance of strength training 🏋️ as a cornerstone of a healthy lifestyle for people of all ages. By incorporating resistance exercise into your routine, you can invest in your future health and live a longer, more vibrant life!
Strength training isn’t just about building big muscles. It improves bone density, reduces the risk of chronic diseases like diabetes and heart disease, and boosts metabolism. As we age, we naturally lose muscle mass. However, strength training helps build and maintain muscle, which is linked to a longer lifespan and improved health outcomes. She’ll discuss the importance of functional strength training that mimics everyday movements. This can improve mobility, balance, and independence as we age. Feel like it’s too late to get started? The good news is, it’s never too late to start strength training! Even small amounts of resistance exercise can have a significant impact on longevity and overall well-being.
