Rooted Resilience: A Community Celebration for Long-Term Recovery
Seven months after a once-in-a-thousand-year storm that caused deep and lasting devastation in Southern Appalachia, we invite our East Tennessee community to join us for a heartfelt gathering at The Philosopher's House in Johnson City.
On April 26th from 2pm-10pm, organizers Sam Love Productions, The Philosopher's House, Kiran Singh, and Rise Erwin are bringing together musicians, artists, poets, and neighbors, to celebrate our shared resilience and raise funds for long-term recovery efforts. There is still much to do, so come be part of a joyful afternoon and evening to raise funds for Rise Erwin.

In Appalachia, resilience isn't just an idea, it's a value we live. It is in our people, our culture, our history, and our mountains, through many generations. The outpouring of community support after Hurricane Helene reflected this spirit-and it is ongoing as rebuild efforts continue. Let's make our story of recovery, one that we make together, for the common good.
