Welcome to Rooted & Rising: AAPI Heritage, Entrepreneurship, & Mental Health! Join us for an engaging event at the INSEAD San Francisco Hub for Business Innovation.
At the intersection of entrepreneurship, mental health, and community empowerment as we honor Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month, Mental Health Awareness Month, and National Small Business Month.
This event brings together a dynamic group of AAPI leaders, entrepreneurs, mental health professionals, and community advocates to share their journeys, challenges, and solutions for thriving in business while prioritizing mental health. Through candid conversations, networking, and resource sharing, we aim to spotlight the importance of wellness in the entrepreneurial space and build solidarity within our community. We will also feature five local AAPI-owned small businesses, offering attendees a chance to support, shop, and connect with inspiring vendors who are making an impact in our neighborhoods.

ASIAN, Inc. is a San Francisco-based nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) communities and other underserved populations across Northern California. Founded in 1971, ASIAN, Inc. focuses on advancing economic and racial equity through programs that promote affordable housing, small business development, financial education, and community advocacy. By providing culturally competent services and fostering partnerships with public and private entities, ASIAN, Inc. works to uplift marginalized communities and ensure they have the resources and opportunities needed to thrive.
Asian Leaders Alliance (ALA) is a volunteer-led coalition. ALA brings together a global community of business leaders, DEI professionals, and nonprofit partners. Representing 1,000 organizations, 500,000 members, and 30 million employees, ALA is a free and inclusive network open to all. ALA members leverage collective experiences, and resources to help aggregate knowledge and accelerate advancement for our communities.
The INSEAD San Francisco Hub for Business Innovation is INSEAD's first facility in North America and serves as a dynamic platform for executive education, research, and collaboration, connecting INSEAD's global community with the Bay Area's vibrant ecosystem of technology and entrepreneurship. It offers a range of executive education programs focused on digital transformation, leadership, sustainability, and innovation, reflecting INSEAD's commitment to developing responsible leaders who can navigate complex global challenges. The Hub also functions as a gathering space for alumni and industry leaders to engage in thought leadership and co-create solutions that bridge business, technology, and societal progress.
Asian Hustle Network (AHN) is a global hub for Asian creatives and entrepreneurs, connecting over 250,000 members worldwide through inspiring stories, programs, and resources.
Asian Heritage Week, founded by AHN in 2023, celebrates the cultural richness of Asian and Pacific Islander communities. Inspired by AAPI Heritage Month in the U.S., this annual event spans the U.S., Australia, and Canada, featuring festivals and programs that honor traditions, achievements, and stories. Through these initiatives, AHN amplifies awareness and fosters stronger community bonds.
