POWERSOLO is working on a sequel to "JAMBALAYA–EXTRA SPICY" which came out on Copenhagen label Crunchy Frog in 2023. It will be exciting because a surprise awaits and yes, a whole new twist. We are going to reveal a spooky plan that has been laid out over the past thirteen months. Nuff said, just wait and see... POWERSOLO band members also known from;

POWERSOLO was formed in 1996 in Aarhus by vocalist/guitarist Kim "Kix" Jeppesen, has released ten studio albums, a film score and a myriad of singles and videos throughout the band's almost thirty years of existence.
POWERSOLO is an active group that records and tours internationally and extensively in Europe and the United States, South America and even Tunisia and South Africa, as well as appearing on several soundtracks for TV commercials for French SNCF and Renault Clio cars but also in films and TV series, including the Danish/Canadian crime drama Himmerland and the American TV block buster series True Blood and American Horror Story and in 2024 POWERSOLO's international hit song Boom Babba Do Badabba got placed in Guinness Beer and the Premier League commercial and campaign (!) BOOM!!!
POWERSOLO who also toured as backing band for Jon Spencer (Heavy Trash / Blues Explosion) and Andre "Mr Rhythm" Williams (Bacon Fat, Mustang Sally) and who describes their sound as "Donkey Punk", is characterized by an often hectic and fast-paced mix of garage, punk, psychobilly, surf and world music. This pathos leans heavily on a psychedelic blues-based rock sound, which is often recorded with what one might call utilitarian, obscure or often primitive instruments and technology. This gives their recordings a very authentic-sounding vintage aesthetic.
EDGAR JONES
Also known as Edgar 'Summertyme' Jones, Edgar ‘Jones’ Jones' musical path began as frontman and founder of Liverpool band The Stairs, championed by the likes of Elvis Costello and signed to Go! Discs, then also the home of future collaborators Paul Weller and The La’s. The Stairs debut single 'W**d Bus' and album Mexican R 'n' B, became classics of their time and the band recently enjoyed a much lauded reunion.
Through The Isrites and on to The Big Kids, Edgar’s muse was restless, but by 2005, he seemed to have found the perfect palate for his influences not to mention the players to play the tunes. Jazz, rock’n’roll, soul, funk and doo wop were smeared across debut solo album Soothing Music For Stray Cats, which was released to critical acclaim.
Edgar has achieved legendary cult status as an artist in his own right, and has played with the great and the good including Paul Weller, St Etienne and Lee Mavers, “A form of National Service” to quote Edgar himself.
