Get ready for an awesome day of flying and fetching! Join us in person for Rocket Run 2026, where you'll launch model rockets and get the chance to take one home. It’s all about fun, friendship, and rocket science with a laid-back vibe. Whether you're a newbie or a pro, come blast off with us and enjoy an epic adventure!How it Works: NARHAMS will launch twelve (12) small, tumble recovery model rockets at five (5) second intervals. After the 12th rocket is launched, the participants will then go and try to find them. Those who find a model rocket will return it to us - but you get to keep the model rocket.
Participation: This activity is open to any student. A student is defined here as a full time pupil of a home school, elementary school, middle school, junior high, high school or college.
Prizes: Each participant that returns a model rocket launched during this event will receive a gift bag of space exploration related goodies, and you get to keep the model rocket.
Anti-Hogging Rule: Participants must yield to the person closest to a model being recovered, i.e., no fighting over a model rocket.
This takes place during our regularly scheduled launch. The Rocket Run rockets will be launched at 12:30. We will allow a half hour for students to find the rockets. Once the half hour is over, we will resume our normally scheduled launch. Please come and join us with your rockets to launch before and after the event.
