About this Event
ITAVFoundation annual World AIDS Day Concert & Mixer event is about bridging the gap between youth and adults on critical issues surrounding sexual health, HIV prevention, and STI awareness. Our concert will take place on December 7th, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at MQ Factory in Manayunk, Philadelphia. Our event focuses on educating young people about HIV/AIDS prevention, providing free HIV testing, and creating a safe space for open dialogue about sexual health in a creative and engaging atmosphere.
Did you know that an estimated 30,000 people are living with HIV in the Philadelphia region? This is FIVE times the national average!
Despite advances in prevention and treatment, HIV/AIDS disproportionately impacts black and immigrant populations. Young people are especially vulnerable due to lack of access to comprehensive sexual health education. Recognizing these challenges, ITAVFoundation is committed to creating a supportive, informative, and engaging space for youth and their families to learn, connect, and take proactive steps toward their health and well-being.
