Capital Sprints will include 1000m masters, novice, juniors, inclusion, and adaptive events. There will be men's, women's, mixed gender, and open gender events. We are excited to be using the new World Rowing handicap calculator for the masters events!
REGISTRATION: Noon May 22, 2026 thru June 20 at 11:59pm. Late entry, at an additional cost, closes June 23 at 11:59pm.
RACE CATEGORIES
Novice: No age requirements. Novice is a defined as someone for whom 2026 is their first year of racing.
Junior: A competitor who, in the current calendar year, does not attain the age of 19.
Master: A competitor who has attained or will attain the age of 21 during the current calendar year. A competitor's age is determined as of December 31 of the current calendar year.
Open Age: No age restrictions.
Inclusion Events: Lineups must be composed of at least 50% para rowers. Inclusion partners may be any gender. While rowers are generally required to represent only one club at a regatta, inclusion partners may represent their para rower’s club in an inclusion event.
Mixed Gender Events: Lineups must be composed of at least 50% women. The other rowers may be any gender.
Open Gender Events: Rowers of any gender and any combination of gender lineups are welcome to participate in Open Gender events.
