Broadway composer Rob Rokicki, known for the Drama Desk Nominated, "The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical," is celebrating the digital release of his concept album and his birthday in one memorable evening. The album, "The Real Gemma Jordan," featuring a book by Anna K. Jacobs (Teeth), showcases a stellar cast of Broadway luminaries, many of whom will join Rob alongside friends and special guests for a night of music that “lives at that perfect intersection of musical theatre and radio rock” (Adam Gwon).
Rob’s "Monstersongs" (NAMT) earned international acclaim and is being developed as a VR game. His musical, "Experience Marianas" (w/ Sarah Beth Pfeifer), was a semi-finalist at the O'Neill festival and developed in the UK. Rob co-arranged "Punk Rock Girl! "(book by Joe Iconis) and contributed to "Breathe" (book by Timothy McDonald & NY Times best-selling novelist Jodi Picoult). A two-time Larson Award finalist and BMI workshop alum, Rob’s work has been commissioned by the Kennedy Center and featured at Lincoln Center, Ars Nova, and The Other Palace in London.
