Ariel Wolf chairs Venable’s Autonomous and Connected Mobility group, where he counsels clients facing complex legal and policy issues at the intersection of automation, connectivity, electrification, and cybersecurity. Ariel is a recognized thought leader who works closely with industry associations, vehicle manufacturers, technology companies, advanced equipment suppliers, and software developers to navigate the emerging law and policy landscape being transformed by autonomous vehicles (AV) and mobility technology. He serves as the outside general counsel to the Autonomous Vehicle Industry Association and has testified before Congress and across the country on legislative and regulatory frameworks related to automotive technology. Previously, Ariel served as a senior official in the U.S. Department of Transportation Office of the Secretary, where he helped oversee emerging and innovative technologies.
