RIVER TO THE SEA FUN RUNFrom the Swan River to the Sea, run with us until Palestine is free!
26 people have been arrested in Queensland so far publicly supporting Palestine, charged under Premier Crisafulli's prohibited expressions laws. We've seen state censorship of public artworks and police raids on the homes of citizens and artists calling out the ongoing genocide in Gaza. But the movement for Palestinian liberation is unwavering. Now more than ever is the time to keep showing up for Palestine!
Justice for Palestine Magandjin are fundraising to challenge these prohibited expressions laws in the High Court, and they need all the financial support we can muster. So we're breaking out the activewear for a good ol' fashion fun run!
How does it work?
Form a team or run solo, the main goal is getting the word out and raising dollars for the Justice for Palestine legal fund. Hit the ticket link below to register.
In Fremantle/Walyalup we will run on Saturday 6th of June meeting 9am for a 9.30am start at the Rainbow Containers on Canning Highway – we will run (or walk, stroll or roll) over the Stirling Bridge (the River) to end at the Fremantle Surf Life Saving Club, at Leighton Beach (the Sea). The run/walk is a distance of 3 kilometres.
What are we wearing?
So glad you asked! We're channeling the power walking hornbags Kath Day-Knight and Kel Knight from Kath & Kim. Think parachute pants, short shorts, long socks, sweat bands, tiny dumbells in hand.
