In this workshop we will explore using a Risograph to create photography or illustration prints.

A Risograph creates prints by making paper stencils, which wrap around ink filled drums. Paper is then fed through the Risograph and pressed against the spinning drums to create prints. Multiple colours can be built up through several passes through the machine.

Risographic printing is known for it's grainy or halftone textures, it's vibrant colours and the perfectly imperfect results.

Printing photos will involve using specialised software to create colour separations of photos to produce monotone and duo-tone photographs.

Small Workshops of 3 people ensure each participant has maximum engagement for the duration of the workshop.

What you will learn:

How to make a single colour, A4 print and make a short print run (10 prints)

How to make a 2 colour, A4 print and make a short print run (10 prints)

Some of the basics to get the most out of riso printing
