For nearly a decade RISE YAM has spearheaded an annual 7 Churches Holy Week Pilgrimage. From traveling together as a large group, to being forced to doing social distance car pilgrimages, to self guided pilgrimages. At times due to church closures we would hold vigil on the steps of closed churches, and this year we are so excited to highlight that the entire diocese has thrown the weight of Mother Church behind this amazing tradition! So feel free to map out pilgrimages all across the county that best fit your needs, and this year many or most churches will be open all through the night!!

The 7 Churches Pilgrimage:
This is a self paced and self guided event, though we encourage people to get a group of friends or family together to travel with if they want. Feel free to pilgrimage to any Catholic Parishes. We only include this list to make your journey easier.
Meaning of the event:
This is to answer the call of Jesus to the disciples, which was to stay awake and stand vigil with him through the night. The disciples failed this request from Jesus and fell asleep. So we do this devotion out of love and respect for Jesus' request. We hold vigil all night with him and journey to 7 Churches (Ideally attending adoration at each parish).
