The Rise and shine breakfast club is funded by the Havering community chest fund and is targeted at Havering residents who are dealing with or supporting somebody with cancer.
Cancer patients, survivors, carers, families, young carers (target 20–25 attendees per session)
Young carers & children impacted by cancer
Weekly Friday breakfast club sessions ( 9:30–11:30am)
Guest speaker sessions (survivors, health professionals)Special sessions for young carers and children (crafts, games, group support)
The project aims to
- Reduce isolation
- Improve wellbeing
- provide support
- Inspire hope
- Share knowledge
- Promote screening
- Support young people, provide respite, reduce stress
Refreshments will be provided each week
