About this Event
One day, a long time ago, Rijaa was on a journey as part of her adventurous travels when she came across a monk meditating under a tree. She decided to take a seat beside the monk in hopes that he may impart some wisdom to her.
She wanted a deeper understanding of the world and all the human beings that lived in it. Her soul had existed for quite some time now, but she still pondered over what it all meant. So she asked the monk, as mindfully as she could,
“How do I understand human beings”
The monk finally broke from his meditation and smiled at her kindly.
“To understand other people, you must let go of all preconceived ideas of who you think they are. You must see every soul as a blank canvas, and let them build themselves with each brush stroke. If you truly want to understand this world, you must let go of judgment. Inquire with a pure heart and genuine curiosity. The world and all those souls that reside in it will then reveal themselves to you”
Embracing these words, Rijaa has made it her life mission to explore people without judgment. Through her art, she portrays the most genuine part of their souls.

Ballad of Souls: A Glimpse into Their Existence.
Join us for the opening reception for a one-of-a-kind series where she explores different characters caught in a moment of their lives. Each painting is inspired by a real person she has crossed paths with. Her work can be described as surreal with a hint of reality. Narrative storytelling remains the constant theme throughout her work.
As an artist, Rijaa has spent her whole life enhancing her skills and techniques. Her original and most personal medium is watercolor, though she also enjoys creating mixed-media work with acrylics. She is heavily inspired by technology and will be showcasing her latest augmented reality painting titled “The Saga of Anarkali” as part of this exhibit.
Rijaa mainly creates custom commissions for private clients as well as participating in numerous group art shows around the DFW area. She spent the summer of 2022 at an exclusive art residency that took place in the Italian Alps. Her latest work was showcased at the “Next Comic Art Festival” in Linz, Austria. As a thought leader, she is a huge advocate for freedom of expression. Staying true to these values, Rijaa will be leading an Art Residency this summer in the northern Mountains of Pakistan called Art Escape.
