A course uniquely combining riding and equestrian skills for Film & TV. Suitable for both beginners and experienced riders, we cover a wide range of skills both on and off the horse, including mounting, tacking, stable management, riding with props and quite a few tricks of the trade.
Run at Polmartin Riding Stables near Liskeard, Cornwall, this two day course is just what you need if you want to give riding a try of develop existing skills.
If you are on Spotlight you can also add this course to your profile and have the chance to take a BHS Progressive Riding Test Level 1 or higher.

Who is this course for?
This course is open to those over 18, with or without riding experience. Although designed for actors, non actors can also attend.
Is there accommodation on site:
Yes, self catering accommodation is available onsite for £35 per person per night
How can I get there?
Polmartin Farm is in a rural location with no public transport links. We suggest driving or catching the train to Liskeard station then a taxi or we might be able to arrange a collection/drop off.
How much riding do you get?
The course is a mix of riding skills and stable management, riding forms a big part of the course but the amount will vary depending upon participants.
Is the a maximum weight for riders?
Yes, for the safety and well being of the horses this is currently set at 14 stone.
Ts &Cs
1. Refunds are not offered on places except in the event of our cancelling the course.
2. We reserve the right to alter course times, course content and to cancel the course due to any unavoidable and /or unforeseen circumstances.
3. In the interest of safety of staff, participants, and horses we reserve the right to refuse, stop or postpone training at any time.
4. We reserve the right to refuse admission or tuition.
5. Over 18s only.
6.Maximum weight is 14 stone (87kg) due to strength of horses.
7. Participants need to be able physically able to mount and dismount a horse unaided.
8. By booking a place on this course, you accept the terms and conditions of the company and release it from blame for any injury during the course.
We suggest all participants have their own private insurance.
Cancellation policy/refunds
Refunds are not offered on course places, accommodation or station pick up/drop off.
Upon written request you can move your booking once only within a 12-month period. If prices increase during this time any difference in price may have to be paid. After that period the booking shall be void, any new sign up would need to be paid again in full.
If we cancel the course a refund or roll over of place will be offered.
