Rickye Henderson presents the 56th Block Party With Purpose — Saving Children’s Lives, a powerful community gathering focused on unity, awareness, healing, and action for children and families facing hardship in Austin, Texas. Hosted by The ReJoyce Foundation, this is more than a celebration — it is a call for the community to come together and confront the realities affecting underserved neighborhoods, displaced families, at-risk youth, and children impacted by poverty, violence, abuse, neglect, and lack of opportunity.
This event was created to bring people together through music, food, fellowship, education, and community empowerment while opening honest conversations about the conditions impacting Black and underserved communities in Austin. The block party highlights the importance of protecting children, rebuilding communities, supporting families, and creating opportunities for future generations.
