About this Event
On Tuesday 14th May from 7-9pm I will be opening my studio to guests to come and learn how to draw and paint from a nude model. During this session there is the opportunity to be taught or you can have the freedom to express yourself and experiment at your own pace with the materials in whatever feels comfortable for you.
So come along and unlock the secrets of drawing and painting the human figure in this dynamic class.
Please note: A nude model will be used in this class.
All abilities welcome. Even if you haven't picked up a pencil or brush in forever, I will show you step by step processes, with demonstration as well as individual support and feedback throughout the session.
The £15 cost is for a single session but I will be teaching an ongoing monthly life class where there is the opportunity to learn not only drawing techniques but painting techniques in oils from the model too.
Should you wish, there is the possibility over multiple sessions to be able to expand your knowledge of techniques and processes in both figurative painting and drawing as well as learning the history of figurative art and how contemporary figurative painting has adapted along the way.
All materials are provided, so you don't need to go to the art shop and spend a fortune.
Tea, coffee, water, biscuits will be provided.
Richard Meaghan is a contemporary painter who has exhibited nationally and internationally. He has won prizes for his work and his paintings are in many public and private collections.
Richard is also classically trained in the techniques and processes of Old Master painters.
Richard runs S'cube Contemporary Art from his studio. This is a Thursday evening collective that do individual project based work, learn and exhibit together. We will be participating in Manchester Contemporary Art Fair 2024.
Richard runs Sunday workshops ranging from portrait/landscape sessions to mindfulness painting meditations as well as his monthy life class hub.
