About:
Florida Children’s Museum impacts the region through exhibits, programs, and cultural events that advance children’s development and family engagement. The award-winning exhibit collection fosters community connections and a deep sense of exploration for children ages birth to 12 and their adults.
A primary goal of FCM is to ensure every child – regardless of background, ability, or access – develops the language, communication, and comprehension skills needed to thrive. The organization was founded in 1991 under the name Explorations V Children’s Museum with the roman numeral V representing the five senses. Our founders were ahead of their time and saw that children need the opportunity to learn and explore with all of their senses. This work continues today with a $7.5 million custom exhibit collection with developmentally appropriate and research-driven experiences.
