On Saturday, November 29, 2025, Project Row Houses in Houston’s Third Ward will celebrate the introduction of the new cohort in its Business Residency Program, a crucial element of community-powered and culturally-connected economic development. The Business Residency Program centers creative entrepreneurship as a core driver in the neighborhood's economy and example of community-led development.The 2025 cohort includes:
- Come Bee , a wellness-focused brand centering holistic self-care run by Jasmine Lynch
- Piano Vibes, Achille Javois's music education and creative development studio
- Thirdward Blooms, a botanical design business built by Brittany Mayfield celebrating Black joy through florals and plants
- Back to Naturel, a transformational hair studio operated by artist Qijah James
The program offers up to three years of subsidized commercial space, mentorship, and marketing support for participating small businesses. Participants from prior cohorts, including Kindred Stories and Gulf Coast Cosmos Comics, have established permanent brick-and-mortar locations in Third Ward.
