Rhythm of The Orient — “2026 Happy Chinese New Year” Gala Performance of Chinese Classical Dance in celebration of the 55th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between China & Iceland.
The China Coal Mine Art Troupe — a national-level professional art ensemble of China—will present a classical dance performance in Reykjavik to mark the arrival of the 2026 Chinese New Year of the Horse and to celebrate the 55th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between China & Iceland.
Renowned for its artistic excellence and rich heritage, the China Coal Mine Art Troupe will bring audiences a series of traditional dances imbued with distinctive oriental aesthetics, grace, and cultural depth. Nearly thirty performers will offer a captivating journey into the elegance and spirit of Chinese classical dance, through expressive movement, exquisite choreography, and traditional artistry. This is the highest-caliber Chinese performing group to visit Iceland in recent years!
All ticket proceeds will be donated to Landsbjörg, supporting Icelandic search and rescue efforts!
