About this Event
See the exhibition free to the public in lobby of Rose Hill Community Centre from 8 - 22 March and join the discussion on what it means for us in Oxford now.
Hear from William Beinart, Emeritus Professor of African Studies, University of Oxford, why he supported the Oxford Zimbabwe Arts Partnership (OZAP) project to keep alive the debate about Cecil Rhodes and his enduring legacy in Oxford and Zimbabwe.
A short video from OZAP co-founder, Lorraine Muwuya, will set out what it means to her as a Zimbabwean.
Rich Pantlin-Nxumalo, OZAP exhibition curator, will share thoughts on Oxford Zimbabwe relations based on his politico-spiritual involvement with the country since 2009 when he cycled from Bulawayo to Harare dressed as a clown for the FunZimRide charity fundraiser.
There will follow plenty of time for questions and discussion.
