Coastal Carolina University's Department of Theatre presents its MainStage season with a play:RHINOCEROS
In a quiet town, the unimaginable happens: people start turning into rhinoceroses. Written by Eugene Ionesco, translated by Derek Prouse, and performed by special arrangement with Concord Theatricals, Rhinoceros traces the bizarre transformation of the community, and, as the transformation spreads, chaos erupts and conformity takes hold. Only one man, Berenger, clings to his humanity and resists the stampede. The performance is directed by Matthew Schneck, assistant professor, with choreography/movement coaching by Ben Sota, associate professor, both of the Department of Theatre.
