Management for Creatives
Who is this workshop for?
This course is aimed at those who are in, or soon to be in, managerial/supervisory roles in the creative sector in Wales including Heads of Department. Producers, Managers and anyone who has responsibility for others.
Context
The Management Toolkit is designed for those running teams and outlines key managerial responsibilities and best practice approaches. It is created to support those working in high performance environments to manage stress levels and create a healthy environment where everyone can do their best work.
Workshop Details:
Participants should leave this session with an understanding of key tools that can be applied into their management practice immediately and be provided a range of feedback formulas & models that will equip them to structure feedback conversations easily and effectively.
· Duty of Care – what this means in practice and how to demonstrate this towards team members
· Psychological safety in teams including practical managerial tools and strategies
· Detailed overview of stress responses and effective stress management
· Reasonable adjustments to demonstrate, support and boost team inclusion, and how they can work in practice
· Giving feedback and how it can be used to create strong, dynamic and engaged teams
· Build awareness of filters and biases that managers and leaders may unknowingly use when giving feedback
· Basic coaching techniques to equip you with the tools to have honest conversations with your team members about performance and/or behaviour.

Mae Michelle yn seicolegydd cymhwysol, sy'n arbenigo mewn seicoleg gadarnhaol a seicoleg hyfforddi (MSc MAPPCP). Mae hi'n angerddol am ddatblygu dulliau ystyrlon a gwydn sy'n angori newid a thwf cadarnhaol a chynaliadwy. Yn sail i'w gwaith mae diddordeb mewn datblygu hyblygrwydd seicolegol. Mewn byd mwyfwy heriol a chymhleth mae'r gallu i symud, dysgu a thyfu drwy ein hemosiynau sy'n aml yn rhai dyrys yn sgil hollbwysig.
Mae'r cleientiaid presennol yn cynnwys Google, BAFTA, BFI, Teach First, Neo Leaders, Schneider Electric, ac Ysgol fusnes Insead ac mae hi'n eistedd ar weithgor BAFTA/BFI yn argymell egwyddorion gwrth-fwlio o fewn y diwydiannau sgrin.
Mae Michelle yn gweithio mewn partneriaeth gyda CULT Cymru trwy 6ft from the Spotlight CIC yn hyrwyddo iechyd meddwl a lles yn y diwydiant sgrin a trwy leoli Hwyluswyr Lles ar gynhyrchiadau Sgrin yng Nghymru.
Mae Michelle yn gyd-sylfaenydd LIVEWISE, Menter sy'n ymroi i rannu, gwreiddio a datblygu technegau sy'n seiliedig ar dystiolaeth sy'n galluogi sefydliadau ac unigolion i adeiladu dulliau cryf, hyblyg a chreadigol.
Tutor - Michelle White
Michelle is an applied psychologist, specialising in Positive Psychology and Coaching Psychology (MSc MAPPCP). She is passionate about the development of the meaningful and resilient approaches which anchor positive and sustainable change and growth. Underpinning her work is an interest in the development of psychological flexibility. In an increasingly demanding and complex world the ability to move, learn and grow through our often-tumultuous emotions is a crucial skill.
Current clients include Google, BAFTA, BFI, Teach First, Neo Leaders, Schneider Electric, and Insead Business School and she sits on the BAFTA/BFI working group advocating anti-bullying principles within the screen industries.
Michelle works in partnership with CULT Cymru through 6ft from the Spotlight CIC in promoting mental health and wellbeing in the creative sector and placing WellBeing Faciitators in Wales' screen sector.
Michelle is Co-Founder of LIVEWISE, an enterprise dedicated to the sharing, embedding and developing of evidence-based techniques which enable organisations and individuals to build strong, flexible and creative approaches.
