About this Event
Democrats are out of power in all three branches of government, uncompetitive in many states, and divided on how to respond to 2024 and prepare for 2026. What’s the path forward? Should the party refocus on economics over cultural issues? Should they moderate across the board? And does the abundance agenda represent their electoral and policymaking future?
Join Niskanen for a live recording of the Science of Politics podcast, where Matt Grossmann will interview Matt Yglesias—who has been at the forefront of all of these debates—and Steven Teles—who has studied the emergence of successful and dissident party factions. Drawing on history, polling and electoral data, and lessons from local successes, they’ll explore what Democrats can do to rebuild power and relevance.
Coffee and pastries will be available for attendees—bring your questions and join the conversation in person—or join us for a virtual livestream.
