The unforced rhythms of grace is an event of freedom inspired movement works housed within an experiential sermon and party! The event includes food, audience participation, and music by a live DJ.

“About a year ago I began discovering love’s ability to embrace grace. The impetus for this new understanding came after a sermon at First Corinthian Baptist Church preached by Pastor Michael A. Waldrond Jr. (Pastor Mike). The sermon focused on the process of committing oneself wholeheartedly to love despite tribulations. The sermon posed two questions: how do we approach difficulty? How do we lead with patience and kindness? Pastor Mike then went on to mention loving one’s self, and loving one another despite. He made a correlation between God’s ability to hold space for all and our responsibility to ourselves, each other, in finding easeful hearts. I felft the room open, tears fell. For a moment, I felt calm in my spirit. A weight had lifted. I felt at ease.
This is my response to the sensations I felt in my spirit, and heart that transformative Sunday."

TheREDprojectNYC’s Revival is an annual event curated around communal breath, ephebism, and generational revitalization. With a yearly shifting theme, and concept, the series focuses on bringing together professional and in process artists in a community oriented day of performances, happenings, and workshops. Each Revival roots itself in the present, offering ways to connect and reflect on what has happened, what will happen, and where we are currently.

Revival 2024: The unforced rhythms of grace was made possible through the Movement Research Artist-in-Residence Program funded, in part, by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council, the Davis/Dauray Family Fund, and the Harkness Foundation for Dance.
