Tapahtuma on täynnä, tosin paikkoja saattaa vielä vapautua. Lisää retkiä tulossa kesällä ja syksyllä. Ohjaaja saattaa suuren suosion vuoksi järjestää toisen retken Vartiosaareen elokuussa. Vartiosaari on 80 hehtaarin kokoinen upea saaristokohde, jossa voi hyvin viettää vaikka koko päivän luontomaisemia ja lampaitakin ihaillen. Mennään siis yhdessä tutkimaan saarta!

Tapaaminen klo 13:45 Herttoniemen metroasemalla, laituri 6 luona ulkona. Lähdemme yhdessä bussilla 89 klo 13:58 kohti Laajasaloa ja Reposalmentien laituria, josta menee aurinkosähkölautta Vartiosaareen. Voit halutessasi tulla myös suoraan laiturille, tarkoitus on mennä klo 14:30 lautalla. Laiturin osoite on Reposalmentie 2. Retki on ilmainen, mutta lauttamatka maksaa. Yhdensuuntainen lauttamatka maksaa 2,50 euroa, lipun voi ostaa myös etukäteen täältä: https://www.aurinkolautta.fi/ Huomioithan, että lautalla voi todennäköisesti maksaa vain kortilla.
Vartiosaaressa kierrämme noin 2,5 kilometrin pituisen terveysluontopolun, jonka varrella nähdään mm. Suomen ainoan ja uhanalaisen rantaruttojuuren esiintymä, hiidenkirnu, Vartiokallion näköalapaikka ja metsäkirkko. Pidämme myös evästauon, joten ota omat eväät mukaan. Saaresta löytyy myös nuorten pitämä ekokahvila. Retki päättyy osallistujista ja säästä riippuen viimeistään klo 19, viimeinen sähkölautta lähtee Vartiosaaresta noin 18:45.
Retki on melko helppokulkuinen, mutta ei valitettavasti esteetön Vartiosaaressa. Saaressa voi olla tuulista ja onkin hyvä varustautua sään mukaan. Retkellä on säävaraus kovan sateen varalta. Retken ohjaajana toimii Lapinlahden Lähteen Kaupunkiluontokeskuksen ohjaaja Ilona Rautiainen.

The event is full, although places might open up. More trips coming in the summer and autumn. Due to popularity, the instructor might organize another trip to Vartiosaari in August.
Vartiosaari is a glorious place in archipelago with a size of 80 hectares. It’s possible to spend an entire day there admiring nature sceneries and also sheeps. So let’s go explore the island together!
NOTE! Pre-registration is required. You can sign up by filling the form under the website event: https://lapinlahdenlahde.fi/tapahtumat/retki-vartiosaareen-trip-to-vartiosaari/ If you can’t make it, please cancel your registration as soon as possible by sending an email to [email protected]. There is often a queue of participants for events and we want to offer places to as many as possible.
Meeting point is at 13:45 at Herttoniemi metro station at dock 6 outside. We will take the 89 bus at 13:58 to Laajasalo and walk there to the end of Reposalmentie and take a solar electricity ferry to Vartiosaari. You can also meet us at the dock, we aim to take the 14:30 ferry. The address of the dock is Reposalmentie 2. The trip is free but ferry costs. Oneway trip is 2,50 euros, you can also buy a ticket in advance here (only in Finnish): https://www.aurinkolautta.fi/ Please notice that you can probably only pay with a card on the ferry.
In Vartiosaari we’ll walk this “health nature trail” with a length of about 2,5 km. Along the trail you can see Finland’s only place for endangered wooly butterpur (rantaruttojuuri), giant’s kettle, Vartiokallio scenery place and a forest church place. There will also be a break for eating so bring your own snacks/food. There’s also an eco cafe held by youth on the island. Depending on the participants and the weather, the trip ends at 19 latest, the last ferry leaves around 18:45.
The route is rather easy going but unfortunately not entirely accessible for wheelchairs in Vartiosaari. It can be windy on the island and it’s good to dress according to the weather. In case of a lot of rain the trip will be moved. The guide of the trip is Lapinlahden Lähde City nature center instructor Ilona Rautiainen.
