About this Event
Rethinking Mental Health
Join us at Ru Paré on March 29, 2026 at 4:30 PM (CET) to Rethink Mental Health together with Stichting SOMED and Stichting SOMI.
Mental health is often shaped by culture, tradition, religion and the stories we grow up with, however many of these conversations remain unspoken. During this gathering, we will explore mental well-being through a cultural and religious lens, opening space for honest dialogue about topics that are often considered difficult or even undiscussable in our communities.
Together, we’ll reflect on how culture and religion influence the way we understand mental health, while also exploring how faith can be a source of strength, comfort, and healing when dealing with mental challenges. We will share experiences and learn from one another in a welcoming and open environment where every voice matters.
We are also honored to welcome our keynote speaker, Abdirahman Warsame, whose powerful personal story has inspired many and continues to spark important conversations around mental health and resilience.
You can read more about his story here: https://www.abdirahmanwarsame.com
Come join the conversation as we rethink how we approach mental health together.
