Restore and Recharge Yoga + Reiki

We'll meet in the lounge of Groundfloor between 3:45 pm - 4:00 pm for a delicious cup of tea, and there will be free blank journals with a prompt card for those who want them.

Nadia Oye will guide us through a restorative yoga session that will leave us feeling refreshed and recharged. Afterwards, she will have a few 10-minute mini-Reiki sessions available to book in the quiet library.

What to Expect: Come as you are - this session welcomes complete beginners to experienced practitioners. Nadia will offer modifications and variations so everyone can participate comfortably. The focus will be on gentle movement, deep breathing, and releasing tension from the day.

Yoga Session Details:

• Gentle warm-up and centering
• Restorative poses held for longer periods to promote deep relaxation
• Breathwork techniques to calm the nervous system
• Brief meditation or savasana to close the practice

What to Wear: Comfortable, stretchy clothing that allows for easy movement. Layers are recommended as body temperature can shift during relaxation.

Space Details: The yoga session will be held in a quiet, dimly lit environment to promote relaxation. Please silence phones and arrive a few minutes early to settle in peacefully.

Health & Safety: Please inform Nadia of any injuries, physical limitations, or health concerns before class begins. Listen to your body and rest whenever needed - this is your practice.

Things to bring: Water bottle, personal yoga mat, eye mask, blanket, journal, small pillow, warm socks.

About your instructor: Nadia Oye is a RYT-certified yoga teacher based in Oakland, California, with experience teaching hatha yoga, breath work, and meditation. She offers compassionate sequences for all bodies and levels, energy assists, and breathing practices. Her energetic healing offering includes intention-setting, guided meditation, and hands-on (light touch) Reiki.

Agenda:

3:45 pm - 4:00 pm: Arrival into the space, enjoy a cup of green or herbal tea, and journal with prompts

4:00 pm - 5:00 pm: Yoga stretch and flow

Optional add-on: 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm: 10-minute Mini-Reiki healings in the Library

Your hostess will have a sweet treat and more tea for those who would like to hang out a little longer.
