About this Event
Join us every month for a unique, after-hours gathering at Triple Bottom Brewing in Philadelphia, PA, where community, conversation, and change come together. This event is dedicated to exploring restorative justice practices and supporting individuals navigating the re-entry process as well as those currently facing incarceration. Each month, we’ll dive into topics around healing, accountability, and transformation, featuring insightful speakers, local advocates, and individuals with lived experience.
This month we are honored to feature the stars and creative minds behind the Pulitzer Prize winning podcast "Suave". “” is a seven-part podcast series about the criminal justice system that sentences juveniles to life in Pr*son —particularly young men of color— and what happens when, decades later, they’re suddenly granted one more chance at freedom. The story follows David Luis ‘Suave’ Gonzalez from boy to man, exploring incarceration, redemption, and the often unusual relationship between a journalist and a source.
Join us as we welcome Maria Hinojosa, Juleta Martinelli, Luis "Suave" Gonzalez and other special guests to discuss the impact and success of the Suave podcast as they wrap up season 2.
Whether you're passionate about justice reform, curious about restorative practices, or simply want to connect with others who care about creating a more inclusive society, this event is for you. Enjoy craft beers from a local, socially-conscious brewery while engaging in meaningful dialogue and building connections that support real change.
Tickets available now. Come for the conversation, stay for the community.
