About this Event

REST is Release is the closing celebration of REST 2026, a Black History Month series presented by NeuroBloom Mental Health Collective in collaboration with For Real Therapy.

This night centers rest through movement, music, and joy. Not as escape, but as resistance.

Within the Black diaspora, music and dance have always been tools of survival, regulation, and liberation. When the world does not offer rest, we create it ourselves through sound, rhythm, and collective release.

Featuring a DJ set by Just Be Collective, this event honors dance floors as spaces of connection, grounding, and communal care.

The evening includes:

  • DJ-curated music for collective release
  • Open dance floor and embodied joy
  • Sudanese-inspired mocktails, chai, or matcha
  • Sudanese pastries and artisan goods
  • Silent auction supporting Sudan mutual aid

Tickets & Giving

Tickets:
$20 in advance
$25 at the door
✨ Sudanese Mocktail Bar available

All proceeds support Sudanese-led, community-run mutual aid efforts.

If you’re able to give beyond your ticket, donations directly support families and community networks on the ground.
For Real Therapy will match every dollar donated, doubling the collective impact of care.
