About this Event
REST is Regulation: Nervous System Reset Class
Hosted by Licensed Therapists
Overview
REST is Regulation is the second event in REST 2026, a Black History Month series presented by NeuroBloom Mental Health Collective in collaboration with For Real Therapy.
This in-person nervous system reset class is facilitated by licensed mental health therapists and designed to support regulation, grounding, and recovery from chronic stress, burnout, and emotional overload.
In a world that keeps bodies in survival mode, regulation becomes an act of care and resistance.
This class will offer:
- Clear, accessible education on the nervous system
- Practical regulation tools you can use immediately
- Gentle grounding and reset practices
- A trauma-informed, body-based approach to rest
All practices are optional, invitational, and adaptable. No prior experience with somatic work, meditation, or therapy is required.
This event is free and open to the community.
If you’re able, donations directly support Sudanese-led, community-run mutual aid efforts.
For Real Therapy will match every dollar donated, doubling the impact of collective care.
Who This Event Is For
- Community members navigating stress, burnout, or overwhelm
- People curious about nervous system regulation
- Clinicians, students, and helpers needing restoration
