Gouache Landscape Painting

Join local artist Lilly Carr for an afternoon of gouache nature painting. In this 3 hour workshop, you will learn about what makes gouache such a unique medium, techniques for creating depth and contrast with paint, and how to compose your own landscape painting.

What’s Included:

• Brief history of landscape painting
• Introduction to gouache as a medium
• Landscape reference photos and inspiration
• Guided instruction for how to compose and paint a landscape scene
• Traditional painting materials: gouache on watercolor paper
• Your own landscape painting to take home at the end

Extra Details:

Gouache paint and watercolor paper will be provided, but gouache works well in mixed media, so feel free to bring your own colored pencils or oil pastels along to embellish your piece. Feel free to bring your own apron or wear clothes you would be comfortable painting in.

Workshop Tickets are Final Sale and not eligible for refunds:

• Our Workshop Tickets are like concert or event tickets - they are non-refundable but are transferable to a different person. If you find yourself unable to attend a workshop, you may find some one to take your place.
• If someone else will be taking your ticket, Email Us and let us know their name so we can add it to our list. In the case of unsafe weather like a severe snow storm, we will cancel the workshop and reschedule for a future date. If you’re unable to attend the rescheduled date, we will offer you a refund.

Accessibility Note: Lot’sa is located on a ground floor. There is a single stall bathroom, (not ADA accessible). There is an ADA accessible bathroom at a nearby business if needed.

• Masks aren’t required, but encouraged
• Use of appropriately sized HEPA air purifier
• Masks offered at no cost
• Workshops limited to 10 attendees
