About this Event
Yin yoga is a slow, floor-based practice where postures are held for longer periods (up to five minutes each) to gently stimulate the body’s connective tissue. This style of yoga encourages physical release, stillness, and a sense of grounding, helping shift the body out of stress and into rest.
Alongside the yoga practice, carefully curated sound is used to support deep relaxation. Instruments such as gongs, chimes, and singing bowls produce steady, resonant tones that help calm the mind and encourage slower brainwave activity associated with rest and recovery.
The experience is simple: you’ll lie down, get comfortable, and allow the combination of stillness and sound to support your body’s natural ability to unwind. Many people find this kind of practice helpful for improving sleep, easing stress, and supporting emotional regulation. The yoga is designed to be suitable and accomodating for all abilities; beginners are very welcome and will be supported throughout.
Event practitioners
The session is guided by Abi, a trauma-informed yin yoga teacher and one of Naya’s rTMS practitioners, alongside Maisie, an experienced sound and wellbeing practitioner. Together, they offer a calm, supportive space for deep rest and restoration.
Things to know
Attendance & cancellation: This class is free of charge and to ensure we can hold a space for all who wish to attend, we require a £10 deposit to secure your spot, which will be refunded in full after attending. If you can no longer attend, please let us know 7 days beforehand so we can open the slot to someone else and refund your deposit. We recommend securing your spot as soon as possible, as we expect demand to be high.
Start time: Please arrive for 6.50pm as the class will begin at 7.00pm.
Who is this for: This class welcomes anyone- whether you've been a patient of ours or you're interested in neuroplasticity and cognitive health. Feel free to invite a friend who you think might enjoy this event.
