About this Event
Seed Choir
Join the Resonance Collective at the Philosophical Research Society for the quarterly Helios Series - a devotional ritual on the equinoxes and solstices where we come together to reflect, share, and sing outside of a particular religious context. Each event is based on a different theme that corresponds with the season.
This March, join us for Seed Choir a time to to hold space for each other outside of a particular religious context during times of transition and rebirth. Held near the first day of Spring, this ritual is both a time to sit with the energizing fire of rebirth and renewal and the growing light of the community with whom it is shared.
No previous musical experience is necessary to participate in Seed Choir.
The event lasts approximate one hour and includes the following structure:
- Welcome
- An Attunement - an initial improvised group sing
- The Frame - a poetic exploration of the gathering's theme
- A Ritual of Interconnection
- The Earth Song
- A Final Reflection
The Helios Series is a donation based event and is organized around non-performative, communal music-making and guided meditation, no experience required. The event is co-led by Resonance Collective artistic director Fahad Siadat and Interfaith Minister and Psychotherapist Rev. Cynthia Siadat.
The Resonance Collective is a multi-faceted creative community that seeks to unveil mystery through the arts. They build opportunities for artists and audiences alike to explore the intersection between creative and spiritual practices and discover how the arts can be a vehicle for transformative and transcendental experiences.

His music is described as “evoking wonder, desire, and terror” (Off Broadway) with narratives that “border on being a spiritual journey” (LA Dance Chronicle). and has been presented by the L.A. County Museum of Art, Broadstage, and Museum of Contemporary Art.
Working as a performer, composer, conductor, and curator, Fahad is the director of the Resonance Collective and the award-winning vocal ensemble HEX. His music has been performed in Europe, China, and across the United States.
