The world we live in is marked by multifaceted crises, from uncontrolled wars to climate and ecological emergencies, with political leaders who demonstrate no effectiveness in resolving economic, energy, or humanitarian crises. Furthermore, we are witnessing the rise of a global far-right rhetoric that seems willing to ignore facts and democratic processes, and even more so, to condone the obscenities of the wealthy.
In the UK, more than a decade of austerity has led to historic cuts in our wages and living standards and now the May elections are approaching.
We need real change. How can we turn the tide?
To explore this, and more, we invite you to a public conversation with a panel of experienced activists who will share their vision on how to change course, moving from despair to positive local action, solidarity and resistance. Opening the evening, we will have inspiring local artists:
