About this Event
This second masterclass will be hosted by the IoCR (Institute of Corporate Resilience and sponsored by A Jolly Consulting) and follows on from the highly successful PART 1: The Rise of AI event. There is no absolute certainty when Artificial General Intelligence with be forthcoming, however many closely aligned with the industry believe 2027 could be a milestone date. For several years dates ranged for the advancement of AGI in 2040, however remarkable progress is revising that date to an earlier period.
This second masterclass and interactive workshop will examine the positive and negative risks tied to the rise of AGI in terms of perceivable known impacts on human social and technical systems. You will hear perspectives from different UK experts spanning AGI on traditional frontier issues such as governance, policy, regulatory controls, legal, ethical, and societal risk-based observations. In addition, we will begin to examine AGI ecosystems and related fusion to other nascent technologies. This second workshop of 2024 will primarily provide an overview of the mid-term resilience implications and futurist observations of AGI spanning across five capitals of (1) natural/environmental, (2) social, (3) human, (4) built, and (5) financial capitals.
