About the Event:
Reshaping Pain into Prayer explores the ancient—and still deeply relevant—practice of writing laments. When grief, sorrow, or overwhelming emotions arise, it can be difficult to know where to place what we’re carrying. This workshop offers a compassionate container for giving voice to those feelings through intentional, expressive writing.

Drawing on examples from sacred texts, poetry, music, and contemporary voices, we’ll explore the practice of lamentation as a way to honor the truth of our experiences without judgment. Through guided writing prompts and optional sharing, you’ll learn how to shape emotional pain into language that fosters clarity, resilience, and a sense of peace.

Together, we’ll create space to acknowledge difficult emotions with respect and curiosity, and explore what it can mean—personally and spiritually—to “give it to God.” No writing experience is necessary; the focus is on presence, honesty, and expression rather than perfection.

By the end of our time together, you’ll leave with your own written lament—part prayer, part blessing, and a testament to your strength and capacity for healing.

Presenter Bio:
Reverend Elizabeth Ferrall is an Elemental Space Clearing Practitioner™ and Soul Coach™. She was ordained as an Interfaith Minister with the International Metaphysical Ministry. She has her own Energy Healing practice in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia. Her practice is focused on helping her clients create balance in their life through a variety of tools, including hands-on energy healing, Reflexology, Mediumship, tarot, EFT, plant essences, sound healing and coaching. She has studied with a variety of teachers in religion, spirituality, energy healing and plant medicine since she started learning about religious practices as an exchange student in Sri Lanka in 1981. However her most consistent teachers have been Nature; her children; and her husband. She also serves as a visiting medium and a Healer at the Spiritualist village in Lily Dale, NY. She truly believes in magic and miracles. She combines the teaching she has received, to help coach her clients into making space for magic in their lives.
