An Evening with Travis Walton & Whitley Strieber
7:00 PM – 9:00 PM | Auditorium | $50
Event Description
Two of the most compelling figures in the history of the unexplained come together for one extraordinary evening at Lily Dale.
Travis Walton — the man at the center of one of the most famous and thoroughly documented alien abduction cases in history — and Whitley Strieber — bestselling author, filmmaker, and one of the most influential voices on close encounters and the paranormal — will share their stories, their insights, and their ongoing quest to understand what lies beyond the boundaries of what we have been told.
Between them, they have spent decades at the forefront of the conversation about extraterrestrial contact — not as sensationalists, but as serious, thoughtful witnesses to experiences that changed their lives forever. This is a rare chance to hear from both of them in the same room, on the same stage, in a community that has always understood that there is more to this world than meets the eye.
Presenter Bio
Travis Walton is at the center of one of the most famous and thoroughly documented alien abduction cases in history. On November 5, 1975, while working as a forestry worker in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests near Snowflake, Arizona, Walton was abducted by a UFO and was missing for five days and six hours. His disappearance was the subject of an intense search involving scent dogs and helicopters before he reappeared by the side of a road near Heber, Arizona. Walton told his story in the 1978 book The Walton Experience, which was adapted into the 1993 film Fire in the Sky — one of the most acclaimed UFO films ever made.
Whitley Strieber is the author of many bestsellers, among them Communion — his landmark account of his own encounter with entities from another reality — Jesus: A New Vision, which restores much of the lost history of Jesus's teaching, and his most recent book Them, which takes a groundbreaking new look at close encounters and government secrets. Many of his books have been adapted into films and television series, including The Wolfen (1978) and The Hunger (1981). He has maintained a dual career as both a fiction writer and one of the most influential voices in the paranormal, through his bestselling nonfiction, his website Unknown Country, and his acclaimed podcast Dreamland.
