About this Event
As part of our Inaugural Collaborative International Series on Innovation in Housing and Homelessness, at this research symposium we will:
- Learn from Dr. Ligia Teixeira, founder of the Centre on Homelessness Impact in the UK, an expert on innovation in homelessness research, policy, and practice
- Hear from local innovative research projects
- Discuss together new and innovative research, policy and practice solutions for housing and homelessness in Ottawa
Our first international speaker, Dr. Ligia Teixeira from the Centre on Homelessness Impact in the UK, will share case studies, examples and solutions which have enabled people working in and around homelessness to achieve breakthrough results.
This research symposium is hosted by uOttawa's Pop-Up Lab on Housing and Homelessness and the Centre for Research on Educational and Community Services (CRECS).
This symposium is part of the Collaborative International Series on Innovation in Housing and Homelessness, which provides decision-makers, community organizations, researchers and the public with evidence-based program and policy solutions to housing issues and homelessness in Ottawa. It welcomes internationally recognized researchers in the field for a series of visits.
The event officially begins at 9:00 a.m., with a light breakfast and welcome starting at 8:30 a.m., followed by lunch at 12:00 p.m.
